Omaya Eco Village

Pros: The staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The hut was located in the forest, offered beautiful views and felt wonderfully cozy. Even in winter, the garden was perfect for walks — we could let our dog run and play freely in the snow. The food was good. To reach the hut, you follow a forest path with steps and a small bridge - it takes about 5-10 minutes on foot. Having the option to have food and firewood delivered directly to the hut is therefore especially convenient and appreciated.

Cons: The accommodation wasn’t quite as clean as I’d hoped. Given the forest setting, some tracked-in dirt is understandable, but there was noticeable dust on the floor - especially under the bed. The sheets looked clean but didn’t feel freshly laundered, the shower mixer wasn’t working properly, and the interior felt a little neglected in places. A couple of drinking glasses would also be a nice addition. Still, it was a good experience overall! With a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance, it would be perfect.

An exceptional experience in nature and architecture.

Pros: Omaya Eco Village is a set of seven small houses of exceptional, truly ecological architecture. Each house is different and located remotely from the next one, offering a unique opportunity to spend relaxing time in an untouched forest. Highly suggested for both families and group of friends - above all those who can truly appreciate real natural environment with minimum human intervention. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, prepared on site with local, organic ingredients and mainly typical Bulgarian cuisine plates. Wi-Fi was more than fine (which is especially difficult for such a large area), and staff are helpful and friendly. Facilities, considering the location within the forest, do need constant care and renovation; the place is not for those who expect to find 5-star hotel service and environment.

Wonderful experience

Pros: The peace and serenity of the place. It was fantastic opportunity to escape the busy day to day life and enjoy some quite time in the nature. The forest, the view, the secludedness.

Cons: The bed was too soft but that is a personal preference.

Omaq is definitelly place to visit to enjoy the forest and fresh air

Pros: We liked the magical forest atmosphere which is unique. The houses are incredible, staff and the food were very good. The place has really the spirit of fairly tale and is a great way to escape the daily routine.

Cons: Place is great but it is already visible that it needs renovation

Pros: The place is unique and beautiful. The houses offer privacy and great forest and lake views. The food was excellent as well as the service.

Cons: Everything was great.

A place to go away from everything

Pros: An interesting and unique place down by the border. It's a really big area with just 7 houses made of clay. We had a 4 minute walk, half of it throught the woods to get to the reception/restaurant. Other houses were closer, but all of them are deep into the woods, maybe with the exception of the one by the lake. It's quet, remote, without a network connection (but with wi-fi around the house and reception). The house was quite warm when we arrived. There was a coffee machine, which I do like. You can preorder food for dinner from the reception/restaurant and even get it delivered if you don't like the walk. In the summer there is apparently a pool and bar next to it, and the area around looked nice. The place is still well maintained, even though it's 15 years old. But it is up for sale, so some things may change in the future.

Cons: The food was okayish. There are extra charges for some things like - using the fireplace or the shared bbq space. The lake was far from full capacity as you can see in the picture. It's still a nice place to have a walk around though.

I'm definitely going again there - loved the place & the staff were lovely!

Pros: Изключително услужлив и любезен персонал. Много вкусна храна. Перфектно разположение сред природата.

Cons: Нуждата от реновиране, в сравнение с условията преди години е видима. Кътчетата за отдих са доста занемарени. Пейките, глинените чешмички, удобствата около басейна се разпадат. Казанчето в банята на къщичката ни не мижеше да се според. Част от осветлението в стаята не работеше. Цялостно постройките и помещенията имат нужда от ремонт и освежаване. Това се налага и за да може да се оправдае цената на услугата, която не е малка.

Pros: Страхотно място за почивка сред природата и уединение

Cons: Цената на предлаганата храна е доста завишена.

Pros: Персоналът е усмихнат и отзивчив! Обстановката е прекрасна ! Тишина , спокойствие и чист въздух . Пълен релакс !
