This impressive spa hotel is located in the heart of the magnificent Rila mountain range, near the popular ski resort of Borovets, only a 50-minute drive away from Sofia. Hotel Yastrebets Wellness & Spa is located directly at the Yastrebets ski slope and features a gourmet restaurant and a piano bar. The staff, food, service and location were great!!

Pros: The position on the slopes made it perfect for ski in, ski out! The reception staff were wonderful. The pool was a bonus and perfect after a day of skiing.

Cons: The spa changing rooms were a little small and dated. But I have no other complaints.

Nice alpine hotel with some remarks (see the description)

Pros: I know the hotel from more or less 20 years now and I'd say that for all these years almost nothing changed. I like the location and the size of the hotel, also the view.

Cons: With the years, unfortunately no improvements, no refurbishing nor any investments were made, but the breakfast and lunch (especially during the weekend) are nightmare. For breakfast, all guests are hosted in a small area away from the main restaurant and it is so terribly crowded and so full with the aim to refuse you eating. The good practices from alpine hotels require a dedicate table responding to each room and in a different time slots. In this case all guest will be hosted properly and avoid any escalations.

Pros: Hotel Yastrebets is amazing place situated in magical beautiful mountain with crystal clear air and sky, such a light everywhere its unique experience which we recommend to everyone who wants to visit Bulgarian mountains no matter if its summer or winter. Pros: Finnish house is amazing. SPA is good but not exceptional. The area is well organized.

Cons: The dinner in the restaurant was too simple for the promises. There were people in the neighbour house playing loud music during the day.

Nice spa and location

Pros: Very nice and polite staff, amazing treatment. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices. We very much enjoyed the spa and the pool, the spa is small, but has everything needed. Nice location in the woods. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Cons: The furniture is a bit outdated which is not a problem at all, but the cleanness was very questionable. On the bathroom floor and walls there were multiple hairs when we arrived. In the corners of the bathroom also.
