Hotel Villa Magus

A great place near Sofia for a weekend escape

Pros: A great place close to Sofia. Lovely restaurant and staff. Swimming pool and sauna were also good. A good starting point for a hike.

Cons: Air conditioning was insufficient in the January night and I could not find more blankets. The twin bed was also not very comfortable, otherwise room was spacious with a magnificent view.

I strongly recommend it!

Pros: Very 👍 nice hotel in the mountains and forest, good 🥽 swimming pool, very nice breakfast and good restaurant!

Cons: The bath equipment should be changed or improved

Trip to Vitosha

Pros: Nice location in the forest. Very kind and friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was very good.

Cons: The sitting area around the swimming pool is very small. The furniture is a little bit worn out.

Was good value.

Pros: The kindness of the receptionist, the blond lady. The good contact and communication with the hostel via Booking. The peace. The big room. The extra pillow i ordered.

Cons: The curtains were way to transparent to sleep when the day starts abou 6.00 am.

Pros: Excellent hotel in an amazing location! The room was spacious and clean, the view from the balcony was very picturesque. Staff was very polite and helpful. The first morning the breakfast was a la carte (we had to choose the night before), second morning was a buffet. Food was good and abundant. We tried the restaurant for dinner and the food was good quality with an excellent presentation. Concerning the spa, we used the pool (very decent size), steam room and sauna (very spacious). Villa Magus is great for a weekend getaway, some spa time and walks in nature.

Cons: Indoor pool area is a bit small. Towels were clean but a bit worn down.

Pros: The restaurant was good, fresh and honest kitchen. A reason to come back. Very quiet at night.

Pros: Beautiful Lodge, amazing rooms, great size swimming pool, nice food

Pros: the staff is very friendly, always with a smile. the food is good and fresh, the rooms are cleaned every day.

Cons: the beds are not comfortable at all. i could feel all the springs in the matress, my back hurt the whole week. the rooms were cleaned every day - but not the whole room.

I recommend the hotel and the restourant! You will be satisfied.

Pros: Beautiful place for rest! Very tasty food, polite staff, clean and comfortable big rooms, very good swimming pool. Monastery and walking places for tourism.

Cons: I recommend to put signs about forbidden smoking, incl. electronic cigarettes everywhere and especially in the swimming pool because some of tourists are not enough intelligent... As well to give penalties for tourists who are smoking in their rooms (this is a practice in many hotels in the world) because after them it is not possible to clean the smell....

Perfect for a short weekend getaway.

Pros: The room was very large, the facilities in the hotel were also quite decent and the overall atmosphere was very relaxed, just what we were looking for. The nature around the hotel is amazing. The food was delicious, and the breakfast was very rich. I also enjoyed the billiard and the games at the lobby. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend.

Cons: The restaurant was a bit pricey, although the food was very delicious. Also, I wish there were a mineral bath and an outside pool, but the spa was very nice regardless.
