Overlooking Shiroka Polyana Lake, Romantika Forest Holiday Village comprises a restaurant serving Bulgarian cuisine and spa facilities at a surcharge including a sauna, steam bath and a hot tub. We absolutely loved it and will be back!

Pros: Stunning and peaceful location, very friendly and accommodating staff, everyone was very kind and hard working. The cabin was very clean, it had everything that we needed, the beds were very comfortable. The food was good and was varied enough for a short stay.

Cons: Perhaps for a longer stay more varied menu in the restaurant would be good however we understand that in such a remote location it is not possible to have an endless supply of ingredients for varied meals.

It’s a wonderful place, but pack some food for the stay.

Pros: If you want to get out of the city noises, it’s the perfect place to go. It’s quiet, beautiful and the fireplaces make for a cozy atmosphere in the cold days.

Cons: Restaurant needs some polishing up in terms of cleanliness and quality.

Great place for anyone looking for peace and quite and reconnecting with nature

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, good food. The villas are very comfortable and warm.

Cons: Our bathroom was a bit dated and could use a renovation. The place also offers bikes to rent but they are kind of old and rusty.

Lovely short break amidst fantastic nature, great food and attentive staff.

Pros: The service and the food were fantastic. The staff were really attentive with the kids and gave us recommendations on activities in the area. The resort is very clean and tidy and very relaxed and safe due to the remote location.

Cons: We hadn't realised how remote the resort was, which in itself is not bad, but the last 5 km of the road is a dirt track, so getting in and out is a bit of a mission. It was fine to stick around for 3 days and eat in the restaurant, but for a longer holiday it would be better to come prepared with food/supplies if you want some variety.
