A lovely, cozy complex at the foot of the mountain

Pros: The entire complex is great - a collection of small houses and a few larger, hotel-like buildings, situatied right at the foot of the mountain. The house we stayed at was nice and clean, more than spacious enough for 2 people. The lady who met us was super friendly and helpful, she welcomed us and gave us valuable information about a few peculiarities of the area - such as the fact that only one of the mobile phone carriers has coverage, the other two don't. But the wifi is good enough so we had no issues at all.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. The complex is situated outside of the town of Kalofer and you need to drive to get food, which can be inconvenient for some. The wifi signal was great, but if you do need mobile phone coverage, only one of the Bulgarian carriers has it in the area - Vivacom (in October of 2025). Plan ahead if this is the case for you.

Pros: It was excellent, very comfortable. In a beautiful location. The staff were all very helpful and even gave my brother and I a lift to and from the train station, for which we very grateful!

Relaxing and comfortable stay

Pros: Stunning property in beautiful location - views of mountains and immaculately kept gardens Much nicer in reality than pictures on Booking.com show Swimming pool was fantastic - big, well maintained and glorious views One bedroom house was nice size Helpful owner who gave us her mobile to contact if we needed anything

Cons: Would have liked mugs for drinking coffee in room - just plastic beakers so glasses and mugs would have been nicer Very small bathroom and water didn’t drain very quickly from shower so floor got very wet - ok for our one night stay but not ideal for a longer stay

Pros: The owners were extremely helpful and kind. The location was beautiful. The complex itself is faultless and of a high standard set in the hills and at the foot of part of the Central Balkan National Park. Great for seasoned hikers and also walkers. I especially loved the beautiful open air pool and the tranquil surrounding grounds of the complex. Adults and children alike will find the facilities pleasant and most suitable for relaxation and there's a green pitch for children's games and play. It is set in a remote and peaceful area. I highly recommend this beautiful holiday retreat. The rooms are clean and faultless and have fixed insect nets on the windows.

Cons: Nothing to dislike!

Excellent

Pros: Excellent. Our goal was to reach Botev peak (2376 m) - the third peak in Bulgaria and this is the best place to start early in the morning to reach the top (we spent one night in Paradise Hut) and finish and rest in the hotel. We spent two nights with the kids in this place and it was great! Individual approach, many compliments, everything is new! We liked it very much!

Beautiful place, very recommended!!!

Pros: Beautiful place, amazing view from the big refreshing (after a hot day) infinity pool, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful garden, friendly hosts, great snackbar at the pool with good breakfast (pancakes, french toast, white frappe)

Cons: Accomodation was wonderful, unfortunately no good restaurants in near neighbourhood, Google maps says Mehana Kaloferski Voivodi is opened, but it is permanently closed 😕.

We were given the opportunity to have a wonderful time in a place where we would like to return again.

Pros: Spacious and cozy complex surrounded by magnificent nature.

Lovely place with incredibly warm and helpful hosts.

Pros: We had one breakfast and one dinner prepared by our hosts and both were excellent at a very kid reasonable price.

Great place and great nature

Pros: - clean and nice room - wonderful nature - the whole complex is a super nice garden

Cons: - the restaurant wasn't working and there wasn't another place to dine around - our room didn't have a kitchen or kitchenette so we couldn't even cook for ourselves

Pros: Amazing place, super clean. The staff are very nice and reliable. The nature is amazing! Will visit again, strongly recommend.
