Bulgaria 🇧🇬

Pros: The staff were really nice, the room was spacious and the bed was huge — 2 meters wide! Overall the hotel seemed old, but well maintained. We paid a little bit extra for a room with a view and it was really nice to watch the sun set over the mountains while relaxing after our walk. The breakfast was alright and the food in the restaurant was good. There was even a mini-museum one level below the restaurant, which we were surprised to discover.

Cons: Inside the restaurant, there were ashtrays on the tables, and there were big parties happening in the evenings. That didn't impact us directly as we choose to go elsewhere for dinner, but it was also why we didn't dine at the hotel. Luckily the noise was down just in time for bedtime, so no complaints there.

Cons: It is an old hotel with small and basic rooms but it is very well maintained and clean.

Pros: Excellent location, very clean and quiet. Large rooms, very comfortable bed. We like the lobby area and facilities. Not least - there is a parking for the guests, which tipically is problematic in Melnik. We plan to visit Melnik again and stay again at the same hotel.

Great stay in a hidden gem

Pros: The room was very spacious and the location was beautiful. It's in a small town that I would call a hidden gem. The breakfast was very good. The parking was spacious as well.

Nice hotel in the beginning of the town

Pros: Nice hotel, located in the beginning of the town of Melnik. Nice rooms (unfortunately, we had no view) and standard Bulgarian bathroom. Nice breakfast in the morning. Restaurants on 2 minutes (stairs down) walking. As we came hiking from Pirin Hut in Pirin Mountains, and it was almost 40c..... they picked us up from a small town on 6-7 km distance from the hotel!

Cons: Not much, only the restaurant from the hotel was closed in the evening. But more than enough, other restaurants on 2-7 minutes walking.....

Spectacular stay at Melnik’s finest hotel

Pros: My room and the hotel in general were very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The view from the restaurant depicts the breathtaking beauty of nature’s earth pyramids, which is an amazing place to have your coffee and start your day. Having a variety of choices for breakfast with fresh produce paired with the politeness and attention to detail of the staff made it an amazing experience for me. I would not hesitate to visit again!

The best hotel in Melnik

Pros: I would come again for sure! Exceptional hotel in one of the beauties cities in Bulgaria. Room was clean with great view, the food on breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. They welcomed me with wine from the region and I requested a wine tasting in their winery.
