Beautiful spa hotel in the Rhodope mountains.

Pros: The spa most obviously. The infinity pool amongst the trees is just good for the soul. Plenty of hot tubs, saunas and a Turkish bath. The staff are also lovely and made sure we were comfortable.

Cons: There is no real entertainment after 8pm once dinner and the spa has closed. It would be nice if the tv’s could be upgraded to provide access to streaming services like Netflix or YouTube.

Spa is excellent, rooms are good, restaurants and bars - not so much.

Pros: Reception staff, cleaning staff, pool facilities (amassing!) and staff.

Cons: The organisation in the restaurant, some of waiters' attitude is not good. The attitude of the manager does not fit a 5 star hotel. The service in the bars also lacks politeness, effort to please etc. These facilities sharply differ from the rest of the sevice.

A relaxing getaway up high in the Rhodope Mountains.

Pros: The staff went above board to accommodate us and our 3-month old baby. The pool & spa facilities were amazing. There was a buffet dinner every night that was very good value for €20.

Cons: The infinity pool was out of bounds for a good chunk of the time we were there are there were maintenance works taking place. While the buffet was nice, there were no pretensions about it, the a-la-carte menu is probably not the standard one might expect in a five-star restaurant. Think regular Bulgarian fare in place of fine dining.

Great pools and yummy food!

Pros: The swimming pools that were open in June were terrific. The spa area was excellent as well, but the pools are the main attraction and have warm mineral water. The infinity pool overlooking the forrest was the best. The food was great, we had half-board.

Cons: The large outdoor pools (except the infinity pool) were not open in June, even though the weather was really hot and we booked the hotel because of these outdoor pools. It would have been nice to know beforehand that they only open in July.

Excellent spa hotel in Velingard

Pros: Excellent spa Many pools with warm water both outside and inside. Inside the pools are massage facilities with different current. Excellent salt room .Fragrant sauna .Showers with hot and cold water streams .Olympic pool. The hotel is clean The staff is very kind and smiling. The staff is right for help and recommendations. It is definitely recommended and we will definitely stay there again.

Cons: It is advisable to add more grab bars near the pool
