Slavyanska Beseda Hotel

Pros: When I booked this room for myself and my mum, I didn`t expect it to be that good. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Sofia. From Sofia Airport, we took the metro and got off at Serdika. From there, it was just a 10 mn walk to the hotel. The main landmark of Sofia, which is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, is about 3 mn walk from the hotel and all the other landmarks are within walking distance. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed: two separate comfortable beds, a kettle, coffee, tea, and toiletries. It was very well heated too. We paid for the breakfast option to be included in our stay. The food was tasty with plenty of choice. Very pleased with this booking.

Pros: A wonderful hotel in the center of the capital, near the Church of St. Nicholas and St. Sophia. A beautiful, clean room with a separate shower and towels for hands, face, and body. The radiators are hot, very warm in winter. A well-stocked minibar, refrigerator, and tea set are available. Shampoo, soap, and slippers are provided. An elevator is available. The staff is friendly and the check-in was pleasant. I was very pleased with my stay. This is a hotel you'll want to return to!

Excellent value hotel in the centre, perfect for living your soviet aesthetic fantasies

Old ,but functional,and top location for city break.

Pros: The bed was comfortable. Clean sheets ,towels ,daily cleaning of the room,rich breakfast , very very rich breakfast pack as I had to leave the room at 4a..m. to catch a flight. Everything in the room was working .very very warm .

Cons: The hotel is very very outdated . However everything works and the hotel is maintained very clean throughout .

Good for value

Pros: Good location, the hotel isnt as bad as what the comment says online. The cleanliness is within good standard and honestly I can see the hotel owner trying their best to maintain this hotel. No bedbugs or whatsoever in the hotel and the room size is great. If you are a historic enthusiast, this hotel is perfect for you. I love the manual lift they are using and this gives me an authentic stay in Sofia. Extra star for the safe luggage storage service :)

Cons: The only downside is the drainage system in the bathroom, please consider installing some room perfume. One tips for future travelers, the hot/cold water switch is in reverse which means you need to set to cold water inorder for hot water. This can save your life in winter.

Pros: Great location in the city centre near theatres and restaurants, supermarket is next door, view to the mountains. Generous breakfast

Clean and decent

Pros: Top location, very convenient for where we had to go. Room was clean and decent. Early check in was available for an extra fee.

Cons: Old and tired but the price reflects that. Sockets were behind the pillows which didn't feel very safe. Not a negative but feedback to maintenance: one socket didn't work. Device would plug in but it was loose inside the socket and wouldn't charge.
