Family Hotel Arkan Han

Pros: The room was perfect : big, clean, quiet, comfortable, nicely decorated. The staff was so nice and helpful. The whole place was so peaceful and nice. Our best hotel in Bulgaria so far. The restaurant is very good too.

Cons: The breakfast is very good but you do not have a choice. Everyday it changes but you cannot choose.

This is my 4th time and I'll come back again

Pros: In general, I like this hotel a lot. I like the traditional style and the home-y vibe. The food is absolutely fabulous. Prices are really okay for what you get. The most magical thing about the spot is the location - there's something about it that is so charming and calming! They have really cute dogs and meadow where you can play with them or your friends and the sports balls they have. You can also go horse riding, walking to the nearby village, go to the cave, or take a 4x4 jeep tour which is highly recommended and worth it. I don't know why it has only one star when it feels quite authentic and nice and the food is 10/10 - perhaps because it's smaller and they have limited rooms.

Cons: It's no secret that the mountains in Bulgaria can get really cold at night, even in June. Understandably, there was no central heating. But the room was quite cold at night and when I asked for a heater, I was mocked and told off that it's \

Pros: They kindly had the heater on in the bathroom, so it was nice to shower in the morning. Good shower

Amazing place to relax

Pros: Very nice view and the room was clean. The host is very nice and the building kept in very good condition. Food was tasty

Pros: Traditional family owned hotel. It was clean and warm. Cozy space to sit and have dinner. Very kind and helpful owners.

Pros: Great location in the Trigrad river valley, a few minutes drive to the magnificent gorge. The view of the surrounding hills is all about tranquility and connection with nature. The owners are very courteous and welcoming and strive to provide best possible service. The staff would cook tasty local traditional meals. We would gladly return again.

Pros: The food in the restaurant was really nice and not expensive. The room is clean and big. The staff are friendly, and their dogs are angels.

Cons: We stayed there in the beginning of Sep, there was no heating in the room and it got really cold during the night.

Pros: One of the most beautiful nature locations in Bulgaria, located in the secluded area without houses nearby. Hotel is simple - which is totally fine considering the wilderness around - but well maintained, rooms comfortable, clean, warm and quiet. Bed linen was unexpectedly high quality. Bathrooms are like everywhere in such type of accomodations, but hot water was strong and stable. Food was delicious, and staff is helpful and welcoming, ready to assist with any requests. Was asking for something different from the standard for breakfast for health reasons and was offered an acceptable replacement with kindness and parents like care.

Lovely Stay

Pros: This is the second time we have been to the hotel, very nice and cozy place with super polite staff. The view was amazing. The food was very tasty. The rooms were very comfortable both times. We would visit again.
